Cold weather has finally allowed the HOA to get our ice skating rink poured. The boys enjoyed a lazy afternoon Saturday playing hockey.

Holiday Season Memories
Today was our first day back to work/school after 12 wonderful days of vacation. We had a great holiday season filled with many memories. Highlights included:
- Logan's 8th birthday (12/23)- celebrated watching "Alvin and the Chipmunks 3: Shipwrecked" and having Grandma Closer, Jason, Matt and Dave over for dinner prior to going to church.
- Playing baseball outside on Logan's birthday - the weather has been amazing in MN this year!
- Volunteering at (2) of the (9) Christmas Eve services at Hosanna! "Joe the Camel" and "Dominique the Donkey" were back.
- Getting ready for Santa and opening presents in our new house on Christmas morning! Watching Carter get super excited about his new "full set" drum set - he has been playing them every day.
- Christmas day at Aunt Beth's in Esko - playing hockey with the cousins on the lake at the cabin
- Long run along the lake walk in Duluth in the warm weather
- Bentleyville City of Lights in Duluth - watching the fireworks
- Chowing on ribs at Famous Dave's - Logan's favorite
- Hockey practice for Carter
- Skiing at Spirit Mountain with the boys - we were concerned that Carter got injured after his third run of the day but he quickly rebounded
- Filling the Mattson adobe with (15) of us and actually getting a restful night sleep
- Celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary on 12/27 with a nice dinner out with Evan and Sabrina
- And lots and lots of play dates!!!!!
I am exhausted! Going back to work sounds kind of relaxing. Thanks for the memories!
