Soccer Pictures....and we survived the storm

Some more pictures from the Lakeville tournament this weekend; as well as our game last night against Eagan.

The real excitement last night occured at 4AM. For the second night in a row we had severe storms. There are no sirens out in our township so typically Shawn rolls out of bed to check the TV. However the TV was out due to the storm...upon switching to the iPhone we quickly realized a major storm was right over us. Winds in Lakeville topped 70mph and over 60,000 people lost power. It was the first time in awhile I was actually afraid of significant damage. Luckily we live in a new development where all the trees are pretty small and the power lines are buried so there was no immediate damage. Of course the boys slept through the whole thing.

Happy Father's Day

It wouldn't be Father's Day in our house without some sports event. This weekend was the Lakeville Best Buy Cup. Loan's team did well - they won the first game against Edina and then lost their second and third games. We have 2.5 weeks of soccer left - and the season is starting to get long. We are in a stretch where we play five games in six days.

Last week Logan did basketball camp with the Lakeville South basketball team. This is a quiet week outside of soccer. In a couple of weeks he is registered for golf camp with some friends and another week of basketball camp. And then - believe it or not - football starts the first week of August.

As they said in church this AM to all the Fathers - life only starts when you have kids! Very true - as busy as life is....it is also a time of amazing memories!

Another fun weekend.....

Carter had his last soccer game this AM - it was a warm 90 degrees. Lets just say the kids had fun - even though they only won one game all season. It was tough watching as a parent.

This afternoon we had Logan's entire soccer team and their families to the lodge/pool for a party - total of about 60-70 people. It was a humid 90-95 degrees....perfect day for a pool party. It was a blast...sometimes we feel like we live in a resort. The kids swam for about 3 hours straight only stopping to play a quick game of soccer and chow on some pizza.

Tomorrow the HOA is hosting a pool party and BBQ - it is suppose to be 95 again. Amazing spring weather! In short - I think we are living at the pool the last couple of days and our boys are turning into fish.

FYI - Carter's hair is getting really blond in the sun.
