2.5 Weeks of Memories and Busyness

yes it has been 2.5 weeks since our last post.....yes we know that we still need to upload pictures from Christmas. To satisfy all of our obsessive blog followers - or at least the Grandmas and Grandpas, here is a quick download of new memories that have been created in our house the past couple of weeks:
  • Logan finished celebrating his month long birthday party on December 23 at the Nickelodeon Universe in the MOA.
  • During our MOA visit we had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe where both boys registered to win a drawing for the "World's Largest Christmas Stocking." And.....a couple days later we received a call that Carter won!!!! Just what we need dozens of toys! Each of the boys were allowed to keep a couple for themselves and the rest have been put away to be donated to church, given away as birthday presents, etc. Unbelievable!!!
  • We survived (2) cases of the flu: Logan and Sara
  • We survived (1) case of strep: Carter
  • Shawn overdosed on the kids gummy vitamins and remained healthy!
  • Logan started tennis lessons at the health club
  • The Tooth Fairy and Santa both visited our house on Christmas Eve as Logan lost another tooth - can't remember if this was number 6,7 or 8
  • Logan survived a head on collision while sledding from another boy. It was scary to watch from the top of the hill - luckily he walked away with only a BIG goose egg
  • Sara enjoyed 2 weeks of PTO while Shawn has enjoyed 2 trips to AZ in the past 2 weeks for work
  • New Years Eve was a tag-team-parenting event as we partied like Rockstars at the annual Porter Bash....Shawn partied first while Sara stayed home with Carter and then Sara partied the late shift while Shawn stayed home with Carter. And Logan - he just partied the entire day. His highlight was when the boys decided to take off their shirts and play Wii Rockband - lets just say the girls kept their clothes on.
  • We spent Christmas Eve volunteering at (2) of the (7) Hosanna! Christmas Eve services - annual tradition in our house. Hosanna hosted over 18,000 people of Christmas Eve - it was magical.
  • Logan went to the "birthday party of birthday parties." The girls went to the spa for facials while the boys were transported in a limo to Brunswick for laser tag and bowling. Then all the kids met up at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant for dinner. Remember when birthday parties consisted of playing pin the tale on a donkey!
  • And to top off our 2.5 weeks of memories, Sara and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary. We are still amazed our parents allowed us to get married when we were both unemployed and naive 23 year olds....love you sweetie!
