Exciting news about our elementary school. Got this email earlier this week.

A message from LAKE MARION ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Dear LME Families,

We were informed by the MN Department of Education this week that Lake Marion Elementary has been designated a Reward School for the third year in a row.  The MN Department of Education has adopted and used this rating scale the last three years to determine Adequate Yearly Progress Proficiency, Student Growth, and Achievement Gap Closure. All schools receive a score between 0 and 100 based on these performance areas.  LME received a rating of 98.82 on the 100 point scale.

The Reward School designation recognizes the top 15% of the highest performing K-12 schools in the state.  In addition, Lake Marion Elementary was one of the 20 K-12 schools in the state to receive the Reward School designation all three years it has been in existence.

This honor is a testament to the hard work of all our students and staff and the tremendous support we receive from our parent community.  Our systematic K - 5 approach to literacy and math instruction, along with the deep commitment of all our staff to help our students grow academically and socially has enabled our students to flourish.

Sincerely,
Dr. John W. Braun
LME Principal
