"Due to WEATHER / LOW CEILINGS, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving San Francisco International Airport, San Francisco, CA (SFO). This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 3 hours and 19 minutes. To see if you may be affected, select your departure airport and check "Delays by Destination."
First, MLK is suppose to be a bank holiday. Second, when flying on holidays there is an unwritten rule that your flight should be on time. Right! The above message confirms why I am writing this from the airport where I have sat since 4pm. I was suppose to leave at 5:20pm and now will leave around 9pm. UGH!!!! Don't even ask what time I get to SF now.
Quick Update on Logan's 6-Year Check Up: All his motors, belts and whistles got the green light. Only exception is his hearing. Once again he failed his hearing check on the left side. Since he has never passed a hearing test, they have referred him to an Audiologist for further testing. In short there will probably be 2 outcomes:
1. He has permanent hearing loss in his left ear but has learned to compensate for it with his right.
2. He has permanent hearing loss in his left ear and will need some type of intervention (i.e. aid) to compensate.
He seems to hear fine to us - his teacher has also been monitoring him and hasn't noticed anything. I think he has learned to compensate for any hearing loss. Kind of odd that it is an issue now. He failed his first hearing test at the hospital when he was born and has had tubes 2x....but no one ever seemed concerned till now.
