Lets see - where did we leave off.....Since our last post here is the news in our house:
24 Hour Flu
Last Saturday Logan woke us up with that wrenching sound. It is amazing how quickly you can move at 6am when it involves puke. After about 6 hours laying on the couch and sharing his past meals with us, he jumped up and said he was ready to play outside. Kids recover so much faster than adults. Next, Shawn woke up Monday with stomach pains...not to be outdone - Carter decided to puke at daycare Monday afternoon, as well as in Shawn's car, then Sara woke up Tuesday morning sick. On a positive note, we all recovered in about 24 hours.
"Wiggly Tooth"
Logan is really excited as he has his first wiggly tooth on the front bottom. He is convinced the tooth fairy gives $5 per tooth - inflation is a KILLER!
Take it Outdoors!
MN has been in the 30s all week and we have been taking advantage of it everyday! This weekend we have been running outside, went skiing twice, took the boys sledding up at church, and enjoyed catching up on our vitamin D deficiency!
Vikings WAMP the Cowboys
Not sure how our house became a home of crazed football fans. Sometime this spring Logan got on a football kick from the neighbor boys and the bus crowd. Now he runs around in his Vikings hat, jersey (69 - Allen), and carrying his football. Yesterday he sat glued to the screen for the entire game. He is already talking about registering this fall - they can start playing flag football in 1st grade.
Spanish
We registered Logan for after school Spanish classes starting this Thursday. He doesn't get too excited about most of the stuff that comes home in his backpack everyday, but he really wanted to do Spanish - we are excited as both Sara and I really want to raise international children that love to travel and live abroad.
Today we are headed to Logan's 6 year checkup and then to the zoo with the boys (no school or work for MLK). Tonight Shawn flys back to SFO until Thursday evening. Only a couple more weeks till vacation - we decided to book a week at Walt Disney World. The boys are soooo EXCITED. We are staying in a condo at the Animal Kingdom so Carter will be able to watch the animals none stop. Hopefully the weather and our health will be good. Enjoy your week!
